What a gorgeous building that is. Built in 1932, the epitome of art deco. Amazing that a company was actually expanding during those years (and internationally, no less). Perhaps Hoover's strategy was to innovate their way out of the depression.

I hate that these once great American companies now build such sub-standard products in crummy factories in China. The last Hoover I had lasted only 2 years; my grandma still uses hers from the 1940s.
